The DUVENBECK Group is a logistics company based in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia. The company traces its origins back to Bernhard DUVENBECK, who founded a moving goods company in 1932 in Bocholt, initially operating with a horse-drawn carriage. In 1992, Thomas DUVENBECK took over the company’s leadership at the age of 26. Today, the company operates over 1,600 trucks, primarily serving the automotive, plastics, and agricultural vehicle industries. With 36 locations across eight countries and employing more than 6,000 people, the company positions itself as a full-service logistics provider, offering services in planning, forwarding, contract logistics, cross-docking, sequencing, and trailer yards.

In recent years, digitalisation has become increasingly important within the corporate group. By the end of 2015, the previously used solution was no longer satisfactory. As a result, the company decided to implement a new document management system (DMS) that would support its ongoing digital transformation. The goal was to map business processes digitally.
At the end of a standardised selection process, the company chose d.velop – for several reasons, as Kevin Sanders, IT Security Officer at DUVENBECK Consulting GmbH & Co. KG, explains: “One reason was the proximity to d.velop – after all, Gescher isn’t far from Bocholt. Another was the truly personal support we receive from d.velop – there’s no third-party provider in between.” Looking back over the past two and a half years, Sanders concludes that it was a good decision. Together with d.velop, the group has already implemented many processes in the digital space. A wide range of projects has been successfully completed – and more are already in the pipeline.
