For this reason, it\u2019s important to involve employees from the early stages and emphasise the benefits of automation \u2013 not just for the organisation but also for the AP team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 data-beyondwords-marker=\"74dd66d7-b395-47a8-9e53-5c0f3990316b\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-security-and-privacy\">Security and privacy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p data-beyondwords-marker=\"41c3bf51-8c0a-4426-8847-daa6397ef527\">The final major challenge facing automation is one of security and privacy. Organisations must protect sensitive financial data from unauthorised access or breaches, and this obligation can sometimes clash with the needs \u2013 real or perceived \u2013 of automation tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p data-beyondwords-marker=\"cd40e086-1c73-482d-8dbc-87cea897cb12\">This strict security requirement means it\u2019s vital that any AP automation solution adheres to industry compliance regulations and security standards.
